Cabin Fever

This winter has been kinda rough on me. I just keep wishing for it to be spring already! I wanna go play outside and enjoy the warm weather. It gets rough for me in the time between all the holidays and Valentine's day. It just feels like you're going and going with all the holiday festivities and then New Year's comes and you have nothing to do, it's too cold to go anywhere and you have no money left to do anything. So, one day I got pretty bored and decided to look through my fabric scraps and see if I could make anything. Cameron is growing like a weed lately and will soon be in 24 month sized clothes. Since we don't have a washing machine and only get to do laundry once a week at my mom's I like her to have at least a weeks worth of pajama's. Well, with what I already had in the next size and what I've been loaned so far (I can't wait till after my mom goes to visit my sister to get more clothes!) I only had 4 pairs of pajama pants for her. So, in my fabric I looked for some that would be enough for some pajama pants for my little lady. Here's what I made......

As I was looking through the fabric, Cameron saw the M&M's and wouldn't leave it alone! So, I had to give her a scrap of it to play with and she loves it. Silly kid! But, since I was able to make all three pairs in only 2 hours I needed another project to keep me occupied until spring comes....

I am going to embroider this and frame it for Cameron's room! :)

And I am going to help Erin embroider this for her little boy's room! I hope these projects can keep me busy and keep my mind off the fact that it's so cold and yucky outside and I'm stuck in a basement!

  1. So, SO cute! Wow, hands down, you are the craftiest person I know! I really admire that in you! That's really smart to have at least 7 pairs of jammies. I agree about this winter lasting way too long! Maybe I'll start sewing Z some pants. :D
