Alex and I were married three years ago today! We were married in the Salt Lake LDS temple and had our reception at the North Hampton House in American Fork. I would recommend that reception center to ANYONE!!! It was so nice! They took care of everything from flowers and refreshments to invitations! Anyways, let me tell you a little about what I remember happening that day. I arrived to the temple a little bit late and the ladies that work at the front desk said that they were so happy to see me cause Alex had been "pacing" up and down the lobby waiting for me. Hehehe! After the ceremony as we were headed out the temple doors to greet our family and friends as Mr. and Mrs. Alex stepped on the train of my dress breaking a button off causing me to not be able to bustle my dress for the remainder of the day. We still laugh about it today and can actually watch it happen! My photographer caught it on video and put in our wedding video for us to remember! Alex's face is priceless! :) We then took a BUNCH of photos on the temple grounds while Alex's Uncle went back to Lehi to get the church ready for our luncheon. Alex's uncle used to work for Olive Garden so they transformed the gym of his church building into an Italian restaurant and served Fettechini Alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs with the famous Olive Garden breadsticks! We had maybe an hour or two in between the luncheon and our reception. Alex and I went back to my parents house where he caught some what of a nap while I re-did the curls in my hair. We then headed to the reception center where we stood in line the ENTIRE time because we had that many people show up! We didn't even have time to get a drink. Luckily, my niece was nice enough to go grab a few refreshments for us to snack on. When it came time to cut the cake and feed each other a piece I was planning on being nice but Alex decided to shove his piece in my face so I had to retaliate and get him back. We got each other good!! We went on with the traditional wedding rituals of tossing the bouquet and garter. Alex's brother, Elliot caught the garter and my niece, Alex caught the bouquet. We danced to our song and then listened as Alex's sister, Tiffany sang a song to us. Finally it was time to head out! We got out to our car and, of course, it was covered in all the normal decorations. Alex wasn't very happy to see that Oreo cookies had been opened and placed filling side down on the hood of his car. We ended up having to go to a car wash that night to get them off so that they didn't leave grease marks on his nice red car while we were on our honeymoon. We were finally able to get home and the North Hampton House was nice enough to make us a basket of a sample of all the food they served at our reception with a bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider and two wine glasses. :) It was such good food! The next day we headed to the airport to catch our flight to Disneyland!!! :) Of course, like any other wedding, there are things that I would change about mine but all in all it was pretty perfect day!
