There is beauty all around!

We had a snow storm happen last night in the middle of the night! It was so gorgeous outside I just had to take pictures!!

This is the Lilac bush in front of our driveway! It's so beautiful in the spring when it's blossomed and it's super gorgeous covered in snow in the winter time!

Looking down our street! So beautiful!

And here's Alex's car parked on the street. Oh man!!! It's gonna be fun to get that out!!!

Cameron meets the REAL Santa!!!

Last night was the Woffinden family Christmas party. What a wonderful tradition and a lot of fun!! This year was Cameron's first time to go and the first time she met Santa. This Santa is the real Santa and not just one of his helpers!!! How lucky is my family that the real Santa comes out for us?!?!? :) (It's been the same one since I was a little girl! The face hasn't changed, the jokes haven't changed and the suit is the same!!!)

Cameron meeting Santa!! She wouldn't leave his beard alone!!! Hehehe!!!

Cameron got a present from Sinter Klaas.......

Holiday Projects

So, I decided to get a little crafty for this holiday season and use my new sewing machine! This first picture is of a pillow I made. My mom, Amber and I went up to Gardner's Village and I saw this cute embroidered wall hanging that I really wanted to do. But the pattern was $10 and I thought that was too high of a price for a little pattern so I took a picture of it with my phone and drew the pattern up myself at home to embroider myself. I made a few changes to it though. It was a lot of fun and I learned how to embroider!

Next I decided to make some Christmas eve pajama pants for Alex and I to wear and we bought Cameron a pair to open on Christmas eve! This first picture is of my pants. They are pink with white daisies all over. They are sooooo comfy!

Here are Alex's pajama pants. He wanted Pirate ones!! We had to look hard to find pirate material that wasn't $6.99 a yard!

Celebrating A Wonderful 2 Years!!

On November 9 of this year Alex and I celebrated being married for 2 whole years!!! We went out the Saturday before, the 7th. We got my mom to watch Cameron for us all day! Thanks so much mom! :) We drove up to Sugar House and went to a little Dutch store there that Alex's family goes to for chocolate for Sinder Clause day. (Don't know if I spelled that right but oh well) Alex's family is Dutch on his mom's side and they celebrate that every year. You celebrate it by putting a wooden shoe, or Klompa, outside your door and it gets filled with chocolate goodies. Anyways, we went to the Dutch store and treated ourselves to some Dutch chocolates and candies. I was way happy to see that this store sold German chocolate as well!!! So, of course, we bought some Kinder eggs and Kinder sticks and some Milka bars for me! :) Then we drove up to Salt Lake to do some sealings in the temple. Well, when we got there it turns out that our recommends had expired, (shame on us for not checking before we went), so we just ended up walking around temple square and going to the visitor center. Then we drove back home, got changed and went to see a movie. We went and saw, "The Box" with Cameron Diaz in it. It wasn't very good. Oh well. Then we went to Olive Garden for dinner. It was so yummy and we got a free desert out of them because "our food took too long to come out" (That's what the manager said). Then, we went and picked up our little lady. It was a fun day. On, Monday, our actual anniversary we didn't do much until dinner time. Alex went out and bought some salmon fillets and cooked them up in some lemon butter. It was so delicious!!

Here's the salmon fillets before they were cooked.

The finished product! It was a very delicious dinner!!!!

Here's some of the things we got for our anniversary. The bread pans are from my mom, Alex gave me the two green pie pans (that's the color I want my kitchen to be when I get my own house.) And I gave Alex some new black pants. What a great anniversary!
